Creating Change Through Mindfulness and Meditation

While at Journey Into Healing in Carlsbad this past September I realized that the only thing that stands in my way of change are my thoughts.  I’ve become so use to my routine;  after all routine is predictable, safe, and easy.  Part of me though is craving change, yet I don’t want to be thoughtless or reactive.  For me, the number one ingredient that prevents me from jumping into opportunity is a little thing we call money.  Today, I do only that which I can afford, those days of credit cards, and spending more than I have on hand are over.  I continue to log in my daily intentions and desires, and I trust that all will unfold when the time is right.  Yes, this includes good health, plenty of money, a traveling companion, and tons of time, a long with a few other key ingredients that I haven’t yet figured out.

I realized on the last day of  Journey Into Healing that I really didn’t want to leave,  I loved being in the company of my peers, we are all on the path to self expansion and greater degrees of discovery. In the many discourses that I’ve shared over the last couple of years with Deepak Chopra, David Simon, and Davidji;  in addition to messages from guest speaker Wayne Dyer who dazzled us with his recipe for manifesting a SHIFT I was reminded of the power of thought patterns, and how we can change our thoughts through new vocabulary.  I remembered that from previous workshops that each of us experience between 50,000, and 80,000 thoughts per day and most of them are repetitive, and oh so so trivial.  The mind is like the software of our soul and 90% of the time are bodies are a reflection of our thoughts.   So, as I’m pondering my next move in life, recapitulating and reviewing the messages of my heart,  I will share some of the notes that I jotted down while listening to Wayne Dyer, during his discourse entitled “The Shift” at the most previous Journey Into Healing seminar.

-Tune into your music, let it out of your heart.  Don’t die with your music still in you.
-Tune into what you have to say, have a conversation with yourself before you make any changes.
-Overcome your fears, sadness and grief through sharing your experiences.
-Be open to everything, and attached to nothing. One day at a time, one step at a time.
-Be better than you use to be, and live the life you envision.
-Practice summer salts, this exercise helps you find new perspectives,  a new reality.
-Get what you want.  Know that you have the ability to manifest synchronicity.
-Put your thoughts on something and whatever you put your attention on will manifest.
-Practice non-interference-do not solve the problems of others.
-Remember that your children come through you and are not yours, guide, step back and step aside.
-The softer you become, the easier life is.  Be like the lowest current on the ocean.
-Assume the feeling of the wish you want fulfilled.
-Feel natural, get back to what feels natural for you.
-Remember imagination is a great gift, let the dreams chase you, advance confidently in your dreams.

A  universal note from all the Doctors’, and teachers before us: You can never step into the same river twice.”

Until later, I wish you Peace, Love, Harmony and Laughter.  May all your dreams come true.
